About Cohen Camps

Our Summer Camps + Teen Programs

Explore our family of three Jewish overnight camps in MA and NH

Welcome to The Eli and Bessie Cohen Camps, our family of three New England Jewish overnight summer camps: in Massachusetts, you’ll find Camp Pembroke for girls, while the co-ed Camp Tel Noar and Camp Tevya are in New Hampshire. Each is a lifelong community full of fun, growth, and Jewish values, capped by two teen programs: the Dor L’Dor Israel discovery experience and the Kadima Teen Leadership growth opportunity.

At every Cohen Camp, children ages 7-15 live all the magic of summer beside bucolic lakes: deep friendships, outdoor living, arts, swimming, and sports. What sets the Cohen Camps experience apart is how we connect with each other, exploring and celebrating our shared values, traditions and love of Israel, while we discover and appreciate each person as an individual. Jewish life, learning and joy infuse our days both as a rich heritage and as powerful ideas to guide us as we grow. We are pluralist, Kosher, and inclusive.

My family founded the Cohen Camps with a nonprofit mission in 1935, and I have the privilege of building on the values and joy in the camp environment that shaped me. Our leadership and Board of Directors and I cherish each family in the Cohen Camps community. Your commitment, together with the generosity of donors, creates a lasting impact on young people and the world we share.

Warmly,

Jonathan Cohen

New England’s only Jewish cultural camp for girls, Camp Pembroke is a unique sisterhood, a special place totally devoted to empowering each young woman. Create in our airy arts studio, dive into our lake and pool, and shine on field, court, and stage.

Great for:

Discovering a world away from co-ed socializing, celebrating self-esteem and friendships.

Great for:

Strengthening confidence, cherishing a warm community, making friends across ages and interests.

With big spirit and a home to match, Camp Tevya offers summers of fun, self-confidence, and “forever friends” with sports, arts, and activities like water-skiing, tennis,  soccer, and talent shows, under the tall pines on the shores of beloved Lake Potanipo.
