Lots to love, and lots of choice
What makes a summer at Camp Pembroke so exciting? Fun and adventures every day!
Swim in the pool, paddle the lake, play sports like tennis and volleyball, get creative in arts, dance, and drama. Build your skills and gain new ones; enjoy activities and electives you already love and try something new.
A balanced program
Every camper’s daily schedule includes swimming, boating, nature, athletics, and arts + crafts, plus shira (singing) and rikud (Israeli dancing). You can also try out for inter-camp sports teams. Evening activities and special events round out every week. You’ll do most of these activities with your cabin or age group, and some as a special way to bond with your very own Big Sister.
More electives as you grow
Every girl also gets to personalize her Pembroke experience through LOTS of electives. Signup takes place online, before camp begins, so that parents and campers can make choices together. You can even sign up for specialty electives: horseback riding and golf.
Grades 3-6 get:
- Drama (1x/week)
- instructional tennis and waterfront (both 2x/week)
- THREE electives per session (each 3x/week)
Grades 7-8 get:
- Waterfront (2x/week)
- FOUR electives per session (each 3x/week)
Grades 9-10 get:
- SIX electives per session (each 3x/week)
Elective Choices
Swimming + Water Sports
Swim lessons and free swim in the lake and in our pool… along with boating, canoeing, lifeguarding (grade 10), paddle boarding, pedal boating, sailing, waterskiing, synchronized swimming, and windsurfing!
Athletics
Archery, rock climbing, volleyball, power walking, aerobics, bicycling, flag football, basketball, tennis (bring your racquet!), cheerleading and gymnastics, lacrosse, gaga, dodgeball, soccer, field hockey, running, and more!
Campers may also try out for inter-camp competition teams in Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming, Tennis, and Water Sports. We always try to include as many campers as possible on our teams.
Arts + Crafts
Ceramics, fun with fabric, leather works, drawing and painting, jewelry making, scrapbooking, and creative accessories, all in our airy, well-equipped arts studio.
Media + Performing Arts
Videography and photography, drama, choreography, dance like a star, glee club, jazz, modern dance, and zumba!
The Great Outdoors
Hiking, rock climbing, low-ropes course, outdoor cooking, and gardening.
Speciality add-ons: horseback riding or golf
Get a specialized hour of instruction in your chosen sport at nearby facilities. Added fee to cover instruction and the use of offsite facilities, TBD.
