Tevya connection
I’m a proud third-generation Tevya mom and Birya ’97! My daughters are huge camp fans, and I love seeing them explore and grow up in their second home there. I truly love Tevya and the community it creates!
About me
I’m an elementary art teacher who is passionate about painting, kids, and the arts, and I also enjoy pilates, being in nature, and reading.

Kids’ ages
Two boys, ages 10 and 11.
Tevya connection
I’m a second-generation Tevya family member and a proud Birya ‘95 alum! My older son started at Tevya in 2023, and our younger son joined him in 2025. Both of my boys absolutely love it, and my older one dreams of becoming the Director one day.
Our kids’ interests
Both of my kids are huge sports fans. My older son plays soccer, tennis, flag football, and golf, while my younger son is into soccer, hockey, flag football, and lacrosse. We spend a lot of time at the hockey rink or on sports fields!
My older son really connects with the Jewish culture at Tevya, and it’s been amazing to see my younger son learn the prayers and sing the same Tevya songs I did as a camper.
About me
I’m passionate about travel and turned that passion into a business as a travel advisor over the last few years. I also love volunteering with local organizations, playing tennis, soaking up the sun at the beach, and seeing the joy on my kids’ faces when they’re at Tevya!

Son, 18, and daughter, 13.
Tevya connection
My son first went to Tevya in 2018. In 2021, both my kids were at camp together and our daughter is now heading into her 6th summer at camp.
Our kids’ interests
At camp, our daughter enjoys waterskiing and barre/Pilates best. At home, she plays soccer, takes hip hop classes, and enjoys hanging out with her girlfriends.
About me
I grew up in Westchester County, NY and attended two secular sleepaway camps during my adolescence. We have lived in Westport for 13 years and it’s great to see more kids from our area going to Tevya.

Tevya connection
Our family has three generations of Tevya campers! My mother-in-law went to Tevya from 1956-1961, and my husband was at Tevya from 1984-1993. Our daughter began in 2021, and our son started in 2023.
Our kids’ Interests
Our daughter plays tennis and loves baking, and our son plays soccer and basketball.
About me
I am a lawyer. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking. I also enjoy running and have completed several marathons. While I didn’t go to Tevya, I have experienced how special camp is through my husband and children.

Tevya connection
My husband, Jake, and I both attended Camp Tevya as children, so camp has always held a special place in our hearts. When it came time to choose an overnight camp for our daughters, we encouraged them to explore options throughout the Northeast, but our older daughter knew right away that Tevya was where she wanted to be. This summer will be her fifth at Tevya and our younger daughter’s third.
Camp has become an incredibly meaningful part of our family life. There is something truly special about sharing a bunk for 3.5 or 7 weeks with close friends from all over, forming bonds that often last a lifetime. We deeply value the relationships our girls have built and the strong sense of community camp provides. Camp Tevya is especially important to us for the way it instills Jewish values and traditions, and for the rich camp culture that has been passed down through generations, something our girls genuinely love and cherish.
Our kids’ Interests
Both our kids love dance and hanging out with their friends. At camp, our older daughter especially enjoys Jewish culture and tradition, theater, and waterskiing. Our younger daughter loves cheerleading, arts, and four square.

Tevya connection
Our kids have been Tevya campers since 2019, but we’ve been part of the Cohen Camps for four generations! I spent 10 years at Camp Pembroke, the Cohen Camp for girls.
Favorite things about Tevya
My kids’ favorite things about Tevya are their friendships with people of all ages, Color War, gaining independence, trying new things, and the many camp traditions.
